Sirius XM Inks Deal With MSNBC
The deal represents another television network parlaying their content onto satellite radio. Fox, CNN, and other channels have similar deals already in place. Sirius XM continues to bolster the channel line-up with content that differentiates it from competing services such as Pandora and Slacker, which offer very little in the talk radio and news category. Additionally, the company can gain additional exposure with mentions on the network by on-air personalities.
MSNBC programming will be available on Sirius channel 90 and XM channel 120.
Position – Long Sirius XM
Now that MSNBC has been added to programming, I wonder if the talking heads at CNBC will stop bad mouthing SiriusXM.
One of the primary reasons I put Sirus in my vehicle in ’03 was so I could stay in touch with the market on CNBC while I was traveling. The ability to do that has both made and saved me money.
I guess that idea is too simple for the talking heads to understand.
Good news. I watch as much of “Morning Joe” as I can before I head out for work. I think it is the most informative & balanced morning show on the air. It dosen’t hurt that Mica Brezinski is “easy on the eye”. Looks as well as brains!!!
Now I will be able to listen during my commute. That’s a plus
Finally SiriusFM does something worthwhile. Now if they will work on revamping the comedy channels, getting rid of chatty DJ’s, and generally improving their programming they MIGHT get back on track.
I remember when XM dropped MSNBC some years back. To XM’s credit at least a big wheel in programming personally called me to allow me to complain to someone besides some “Skippy” or third country customer service rep.
WHAT no stock price minute by minute DETAIL today by the Peanut Gallery ??
Guess the pps must be on a SIRIUS Upward trajectory !!!
boo boo got grounded from the computer by mom.
Speaking of CNBC, I wonder why they don’t run the stock ticker on the Sirius Xm’s radio screens?
